Bunrothany Vy (Thany)

Originaire du Cambodge, Thany a elle aussi connu les difficultés de préparation avant l’installation en France. Les démarches administratives, souvent longues et complexes, lui ont semblé décourageantes au début. Heureusement, son époux a pris en charge la majorité des procédures, lui permettant de se concentrer sur leur famille et leur adaptation.

Ce vécu commun a été le déclic. Ensemble, ils ont constaté que beaucoup d’autres vivent les mêmes doutes, les mêmes incompréhensions. C’est de ce constat qu’est née l’idée de créer ce livre : pour structurer, expliquer, et surtout partager.

Thany apporte au projet son regard féminin, patient et chaleureux. Elle veille à ce que chaque page parle simplement, sans jargon, et donne confiance à ceux qui débutent leur vie en France.

Pour elle, ce livre est un acte de solidarité : transmettre ce qu’ils ont appris, pour que d’autres puissent avancer plus sereinement et mieux comprendre la culture française.

Originally from Cambodia, Thany also experienced the challenges of preparing to move to France. The administrative procedures, often long and complicated, seemed discouraging at first. Fortunately, her husband handled most of the paperwork, allowing her to focus on their family and settling in. This shared experience was the trigger. Together, they realized that many others go through the same doubts and misunderstandings. It was from this observation that the idea of creating this book was born: to organize, explain, and above all, share.Thany brings her feminine, patient, and warm perspective to the project. She makes sure each page is easy to understand, free of jargon, and gives confidence to those starting their lives in France.For her, this book is an act of solidarity: passing on what they have learned so others can move forward more calmly and better understand French culture.

Richard Vy

Né en France de parents cambodgiens arrivés avant la guerre, Richard Vy n’a pas grandi dans la transmission des traditions khmères. Ses parents, travailleurs et discrets, ont surtout cherché à survivre et à s’intégrer.
Avec le temps, il a ressenti le besoin de reconstruire cette mémoire perdue, de relier ce qu’il est à ce qu’il aurait pu recevoir.

Auteur et compositeur du projet musical Khmer Style, Richard crée pour transmettre à son fils un héritage culturel et émotionnel. Sa musique, écrite entre l’anglais et le khmer, devient un pont entre les générations — une trace vivante pour quand il ne sera plus là.

À travers Bien Vivre en France, il poursuit la même mission : offrir des repères concrets, des explications simples, et une vision humaine de l’intégration.
Professionnel de l’informatique et passionné, il relie la rigueur du monde technique à la sensibilité du vécu, avec un seul objectif : aider les autres à trouver leur place sans se perdre.

Born in France to Cambodian parents who arrived before the war, Richard Vy did not grow up immersed in Khmer traditions. His parents, hardworking and discreet, mostly focused on surviving and integrating. Over time, he felt the need to reconstruct this lost memory, to connect who he is with what he could have received. As the author and composer of the musical project Khmer Style, Richard creates to pass on a cultural and emotional heritage to his son. His music, written in both English and Khmer, becomes a bridge between generations — a living trace for when he is no longer there. Through Bien Vivre en France, he continues the same mission: to provide concrete guidance, simple explanations, and a humane perspective on integration.
